I am a fractional operator and coach for $1-5m agencies.

Clients want more for less, rivals are moving faster with AI, and talent costs climb. For $1–5M agencies, the real growth ceiling is often not sales, it’s operations.

It's getting the right people in the right seats; the right systems, built on the right tech; and the right services that result in measurable outcomes.

I install a firm-wide operating system with clear roles, documented SOPs, and real-time metrics so capacity expands, profits rise, and growth outruns payroll.

An entrepreneur at heart, in 2018 I acquired equity in a marketing agency, taking over operations. We scaled the agency to become a household name in the B2B technology marketing space, I enabled the original founder to step back from the day-to-day, and in early 2023, we sold the agency.

After the sale, I connected with a new team to acquire several other agencies, quickly scaling the portfolio as we hit the Inc. 5000 and refined what the agencies of tomorrow look like.

Today I partner with professional-service firms that want the same outcome: a scalable, profitable system that feels more like an investment and less like a job.

"Operations" is an admittedly vague term, and each company has different operational gaps.

For clarity, here's my definition:

Operations is the discipline of designing how the people, process, and tech work together so that top-line growth makes it's way to the bottom line in a sustainable way.

Some examples of what this has looked like for my clients:

  • Lack of accountability across a team rebuilt their org chart, defined role-based KPIs, and rolled it out

  • Need sales, but the team is too busy for more work built automations for busywork, templatized common deliverables, simplified delivery workflow

  • High client churn improved sales <> delivery handoff, adjusted meeting cadences, shifted

  • Inconsistent service quality created SOPs, tightened review processes, developed faster feedback look for work

What this work results in:

  • Lifted EBITDA, turning revenue into real profit

  • Automated & AI-enabled busywork that drains time

  • Streamlined delivery so work ships better work, faster

  • Decreased owner-dependency; teams run the playbook, not you

  • Being sale-ready (or just stay and enjoy the cash flow)

I don't do "things," I solve problems.

Why not just hire a COO?

Why not just hire a COO?

Why not just hire a COO?

Complexity spikes as revenue climbs, yet a full-time COO only makes financial sense after ~$5M.

The problem is you can't hit that point without tight ops.

I slot in sooner to build the systems, infrastructure, and talent you need to break through that next ceiling.

By the time you hit ~$5M, the machine is humming and the role funds itself.
